Actually, MSN Desktop Search Does...

...let you click on an item it finds to open it up. For some reason that wasn't working on my laptop this morning. It worked fine at work.

And, actually, I was able to use it there. I've got a situation there where I work with tons of other developers, all writing code. Being able to search their sql, c#, asp, etc. files with it proved very useful today. So, I'm liking MSN Desktop Search a little more.

You may find that if you move many items (say rename a directory) those items you find won't be clickable until the index catches up with the changes. Maybe that's what was happening to you?

Once it's caught up selection, double click, right-click and drag-n-drop should work! If not you found a bug. You can even search for music select a bunch of them right-click and select open to play it as an impromptu playlist :)

Maybe that was the case. Thanks for the response. I appreciate it. And I didn't know about the playlist thing. That will probably come in handy.
